My name is Kim and I am an elite trail and ultra runner. I started on the journey into ultra running when I moved to the Lake District in 2008 and set a goal to become a member of the Bob Graham club. After 18 month of hard training and exploring the Lakes I completed the Bob Graham round for the first time which opened the door to many more endurance challenges. I had discovered how good it feels when you achieve success after pushing your limits. I knew I would continue to do this for many years to come and I just love the feeling of moving fast and freely in the mountains.
I have twice represented GB&NI at the World Trail Championships; proudly winning a team Bronze in 2015. Prior to this I was part of a GB team at three Adventure racing world championships; achieving 6th place in Ecuador 2014. With victory at the Lakeland 50 in 2014 I was British Trail Running Champion and have achieved a number ultra records on the trails. On the fells I won a British Championship race in Ireland and a close second in an English Championship race. In 2016 I was 9th in the World Skyrunning World Championship Ultra category in Spain. I am the current Winter Bob Graham Round record holder with a time of 15 hours 47 mins set in 2019 as well as a finisher at the CCC, TDS and UTMB.
I feel excited to become an ambassador for Longhaul after using the sweet Potato & Quinoa pouches at Els 2900 and TDS ultra races in 2019. I find that the natural ingredients in the pureed form is the savoury real food that I need and can easily digest to provide balance to the sugary jellies.
